About me

Hello! My name is Garrett Brown! I am a cybersecurity/computer science student and IT tech from Kansas. By day I study cybersecurity and work as the IT manager for Collegian Media Group at Kansas State University. By night I like to tinker with computers, do some ethical hacking, watch anime, read, and do some gaming here and there. I am a big FOSS and retro tech enthusiast, and a big advocate for right to repair, privacy, the open web, digital rights and free speech, (not absolute like on X/Twitter, but normal like in journalism.) I am also a trombonist in the Pride of Wildcat Land, Catband and trombone choir at Kansas State University, and a brother of the Kappa Kappa Psi national band service fraternity.
